The Hundred Dresses: Day 24

I stated there would be a great deal of simplicity 1577s this week, didn’t I? Here’s one more one:

It’s from this Yuwa material that I gotten back in 2009.I most likely held on to it for at least two years before it ended up being this dress.

I’m not delighted with the collar. I understand there’s some type of undercutting technique you can do to keep this from happening, however I can never seem to discover it. Does any individual have a link?

Here’s a relatively fuzzy view of the front:

And the side zip, this is a strong B, I think:

Back view, insufficient pressing:

And closeup back view … I nearly got those stripes matched! (Actually, I am quite sure this was inadvertent.)

I like this gown however guy oh man, are those colors difficult to match. They’re all somewhat off from any type of cardigans I really have, so I end up using this gown only when it’s warm sufficient to go sans cardigan. (I do have one beige cardigan that matches, however … eh, beige.)

The scissors print still makes me delighted … I’d like to have one more scissors-print dress, perhaps one with a a lot more scattered layout? Haven’t seen any type of scissors material that I like as much as this, though.
